1-2  PA  Seminar, “Overlooked and Often Not Visited: Ridges, Farms & Other Battle Sites,” in Gettysburg. Talks and tours sponsored by the Association of Licensed Battlefield Guides. $125.

9  MD  Lecture, “Clara Jones: A Forgotten Civil War Nurse,” at the National Museum of Civil War Medicine in Frederick. 2:30 pm. Free with admission.

9-10  PA  Heritage Trail Hike on the Gettysburg battlefield. 15-mile guided walks follow the “Billy Yank” and “Johnny Reb” trails. Begins at 9 am both days at the Gettysburg NMP visitor center. $110. Details:

15-17  KY  Reenactment, “Battle of Sacramento,” on the historic battlefield near Sacramento. Living history day Friday. Camps and demonstrations 9 am-8 pm Saturday, 10 am-1 pm Sunday. Battle Sunday 1:30 pm.

16-17  GA  Reenactment, “Battle of Resaca,” just north of Resaca on U.S. 41. Camps and demonstrations 9 am-6 pm Saturday, 9 am-5 pm Sunday. Battles at 2 pm each day. $5/adult.

25  VA  Memorial Day program at the Fort Harrison National Cemetery, 8620 Varina Road, near Richmond. Noon. Free.

29 VA  Lunch discussion, “Irvin McDowell, USA,” at the Mariners’ Park Cafe in the Mariners’ Museum in Newport News. 12:30 pm. Discussion is free.

30  GA  Anniversary living history and civilian program at the Battle of Pickett’s Mill Battlefield Historic Site near Dallas. 9 am-4 pm. $6/adult.

30  VA  Bike tour of the Cold Harbor Battlefield. Five-mile guided tour begins at the visitor center, 5515 Anderson Wright Drive, near Mechanicsville. Bike and helmet required. 9-11 am. Free.

30 VA  Lecture, “Stephen Russell Mallory, CSN,” at the Mariners’ Museum in Newport News. 2:30 pm. Free with admission.
